Lower heating bills, more comfort in your home: with the smart « warm edge » solution from Ensinger

Warm edge spacer Thermix® TX.N® plus

Save on energy costs by preventing the thermal bridge effect at your windows. The Thermix® spacer plays a particularly vital role in helping drive down your heating bills. Conventional spacers made of aluminium act like a thermal bridge, causing the edge of the glazing panel to cool down rapidly when outside temperatures drop, despite a good level of warmth in the room. This results in the loss of valuable heating energy. Condensation may form.

Using Thermix® spacers helps to significantly reduce heat loss at the glass edge, while the periphery of the window on the room side remains warmer, lending the glass what is referred to as a “warm edge”.

Higher temperatures at the glass edge on the room side prevent the formation of condensation, ensure less cold air radiation near the window and so help achieve a healthy room atmosphere. This technology also helps you to achieve significant energy cost savings and at the same time make a valuable contribution to improving the energy efficiency of buildings.

Advantages - at a glance

Using Thermix® and the right materials saves money!

The plastic used to manufacture the Thermix® spacer has 700 times lower thermal conductivity than aluminium, and forms the basis for the spacer bar. It is wrapped in thin stainless steel, which has a thermal conductivity factor ten times lower than that of aluminium.
This material combination ensures a particularly low thermal transmission coefficient Ψ and makes Thermix® an excellent "warm edge" solution.

Look out for the Thermix® spacer when choosing your windows!
